It's our 43rd anniversary TODAY!!!! Crazy how time flies! We got married back on October 22, 1965 which most people might think is a random day for being married, but we found it one of the easiest days that worked around the business work back then. We have enjoyed our time together and look forward to many more anniversaries! There aren't any big plans for the big day, but maybe we will be able to go out for dinner once things settle down! Times sure do change and it has been great sharing in all the good times together! (and the bad). 43 years sure does give you a lot of experience! We sure love each other and are able to grow more and more everyday!

Visiting Vernal!

Living in Idaho and never being on a real tractor ride was pretty crazy, so our son-in-law, Brenton, took me on my first. He took my through their corn patch where I kept thinking we were going to get stuck, but tractors barely ever do that I guess! :) We went to visit Andrea and Brenton in Vernal for a few days and we also got to go out and see the races they have there. Mistie and Jeramiah were able to come also, so that made it even more fun. They gave out frisbees with the racers names on them. If your racer won, then you could get a prize. Andrea and Mistie made me go get their prizes for them, but at least we won some! Roy had to get back to work on Monday, so we left Sunday, but we had a good visit. I made huckleberry shakes for all of us and Brenton's family which they all enjoyed and of course cooked and cleaned a lot for Andrea. Here's some pictures from the trip! Better prove I was really on a real tractor! :)

The Siding is FINISHED!!!!!!!!!!

These are pictures of the house after the siding was finished. We're so glad to have it done and get the workers out of our way. The pictures don't show up too big because they have been e-mailed to Rochelle so she can post them for us.

Other than the house, life has just been busy. Roy and the workers are extracting honey non-stop and I've been busy helping them and babysitting grandkids. Taylor comes over everyday after school and Kelsey and Jacob try to get to grandma's as often as possible too. They're so much fun!

Home Renovations

We have been busy working on our house. We are in the process of getting new siding, have gotten new garage doors, and had the blacktop resealed. In the last year we have also replaced our house doors and the personel doors on the garage. We recycled one of the house doors to our storage shed, but the others are free for the taking if anyone wants them (or knows who would want them). We've even painted the meter box and replaced the window frame for the woodbox downstairs. It looks like a new house. I'll get some pictures posted as soon as I get a chance.

Andrea and Brenton, Justin and Rochelle (and kids), Misti and Jeremiah, Brian and Nicole (and kids), and Marissa and her roomate came to visit for the 4th. It was so much fun. Everyone raced wiggle cars, played Wii, and ate a ton of food. It was a blast...here are some pics.

FEARS:
1.Death...I'm afraid of not ever dying...j/k I guess there really is always a fear of the unknown though.
2.water....I almost drown when I was little and I've never learned to swim.
3. Mutilation. Odd I know..but you hear so many murder stories on the TV it just gives me the creeps that anyone could do such disgusting things to another human being.

GOALS:
1.Be able to have good health
2. Learn more decorating tips
3. Enjoy the Grandkids even more than we already do

OBSESSIONS:
1. A clean house
2. A clean car...I even used towels when we had a light colored interior just because the dirt showed up more and I couldn't stand it.
3. Diet soda.......my one necessary evil

RANDOM FACTS:
1. I'm a better cook now because I've had time to search for recipes and try them out.
2. I once lost my voice for over 6 months. It was due to being sprayed by a crop duster's insecticide. Talk about soft spoken.
3. I have had skin cancer...a malignant little dot on my nose and it had to be removed. Thankfully, they got it all and I've had no more complications.

Misti and Jeremiah had Lonnie (Misti's Father-in-law) help them put this NEAT wishing well together for our front landscaping. It helps cover up our well. Its so BIG AND PRETTY! I'm really impressed with the hardwork and craftmanship that went into this. THANKS GUYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We are about to be grandparents for the 7th time around now. Andrea and Brenton announced that they are going to have a baby end of November. These pictures are of Rochelle's little guy, Tannon at 8 months old. Andrea and Rochelle plotted to have him wear this shirt, then send us the pictures to tell us the GREAT NEWS.

We traveled to Arizona to visit Rochelle, Jean, and Virginia. It was great to see the grandkids. They had all been sick, so some Grandma and Granpa TLC was definitely needed. Fun trip in our new vehicle as well.
